The magazine supply chain is complex and Frontline ensures that the biggest brands in the magazine market reach retail shelves in the right quantity and at the right time. This involves managing relationships with Printers, Carriers, Wholesalers and Retailers on behalf our Publishing Partners; – Bauer Media, H Bauer, Haymarket and Immediate Media Co.
In practical terms 4 key processes are managed:
Retail relationship management: Marketing and promoting our products, creating a promotional calendar and effective joint marketing strategies that drives magazine sales performance. Developing display solutions and marketing messages that attract shoppers.
Business information and analytics: Total market / EPOS reporting on sales trends, channel and category performance. Enabling us to make informed decisions and respond quickly to market conditions.
Supply chain management: Design and management of the most effective route to market: physical movement of the magazines from print to store. Including sales forecasting, copy allocation and replenishment, product finishing and subscription fulfilment
Category management and Insight: analysing and advising ranging decisions, pricing and promotional effectiveness as well as consumer and shopper trends.
